The management panel and member portal are private; they are described here from the project's source code.
01Context
I have worked at Bulk Gym since 2021 as operations manager. Members, payments, renewals and routines were tracked by hand. The project comes from seeing those processes every day from the inside.
02The problem
The gym needed a solid online presence and, above all, organized administration: who is up to date, whose membership expires this week, which routine each member has.
03The solution
A single platform in three parts: a fast, search-ready public site, a management panel with roles for the staff, and a portal for members.
What's included
Public site
- Plans, prices and promotions that hide themselves when they expire
- Opening hours with an “open now” indicator in Argentina time
- Exercise library with search, filters and an instructional page for each exercise
- Guides, gallery, FAQ and a contact form with spam protection
Management
- Members with status, payments, attendance, routine, measurements and notes
- Payments, day passes and an expiry list with one-click manual WhatsApp reminders
- Day-by-day routine editor, printable with a QR code
- Exportable monthly reports and cookie-free visit statistics
- Roles: admin, trainers and front desk
Member portal
- Plan status and expiry date
- Today's routine with a video for each exercise
- Weight logging and progress charts

Design and technical decisions
- A database ready for several gyms: every record belongs to an organization, so it can be offered to other gyms later.
- Read-only sync with the gym's fingerprint-access PC; fingerprints are never sent to the internet.
- Structured data for search engines (gym, FAQ, articles) and an auto-generated share image.
- Unit and end-to-end tests with Playwright.
Not included (yet)
- Online payments with Mercado Pago (planned).
- QR check-in at the front desk and class bookings (planned).
